About Windermere
Providing services from 20 locations, with major centres at Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Pakenham, Windermere is…
- A non-religious, non-Government, not-for-profit community support organisation with more than 100 full-time and part-time staff, over 100 contractors and dozens of volunteers
- Wholly independent and autonomous
- Incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act
- A provider of services to over 3,000 families and children each year
- Able to offer a range of complementary and integrated services.
A voluntary Board of Management guides the direction of the agency in partnership with the Windermere management team and staff.
The majority of Windermere’s services are free, and a client’s circumstances are always taken into account before any fees are applied. Clients referred by the Department of Human Services are never charged.
Around three-quarters of Windermere’s income comes from Government contracts, while the rest comes from fundraising, property rentals, client fees, and bank interest.
