A culturally-safe, supported playgroup for Aboriginal and Torres-Strait Islander children, carers and parents to have fun together in the bushland at Stringybark Picnic Area. Each week families engage in a series of play and nature-based activities involving bush exploration and tracking, cultural activities, reading Aboriginal storybooks, oral storytelling, songs and rhymes, dance, craft and the learning of the local Aboriginal language. The program is directed in consultation with an Elder who visits regularly. There are also regular events with visits from Elders, artists, storytellers, etc.
