Playground Antics

About the Program

This fun, group based, intensive five week program assists preschool children to develop a range of gross motor skills essential for every day life. Each of the five sessions will focus on a different skill area. The program will:

• Cover gross motor skills such as climbing and jumping, skipping, throwing and catching balls.
• Provide an opportunity for your child to practice their gross motor skills and other skills in preparation for school such as taking off and on clothing items and shoes, opening containers and packets at snack times and learning to follow the rules of games. 
• Be tailored to the individual goals of each child.

Please note that parents and carers will be expected to remain on site to participate and assist your child in all the activities.

Who it's for

Children aged 4 to 6 years of age (preschool) with gross motor challenges

When & Where 

This intensive program is designed to run over the Summer holidays. All sessions will be held at the Berwick office, 26 Parkhill Drive, Berwick. 

Monday 9 January 9.15am – 10.45am

Thursday 12 of January 9.15 am – 10.45 am

Monday 16 January 9.15 am – 10.45 am

Thursday 19 January 9.15 am- 10.45 am

Monday 23 January 9.15 am – 10.45 am

What to bring and wear

• Small healthy snack (such as a small tub of fruit, tub of yoghurt, packet of dried fruit or carrot and celery sticks)
• Water bottle
• Comfortable clothing and runners for yourself and your child  (not gumboots, crocs or thongs)
• Jackets and shoes you would like your child to practice with
• Hat and sunscreen

Please do not bring nuts or nut products. Please advise us of any children who have anaphylaxis on enrolment.

Cost

$727.43. NDIS funding can be used to cover the cost of this program.
