School Skills Workshops

About the Program

Through this program your child will be exposed to a range of activities relating to early numeracy, literacy, communication and motor skills to:

  • develop independence skills
  • develop concentration skills
  • understand the value of everyday activities to support school readiness
  • build confidence in interchanging, completing and trying new activities
  • promote positive attitudes towards school and learning
  • share ideas for skill development at home

By exploring different activities, with the help of our experienced team, you will learn ways to use the same activity to achieve different outcomes. The program provides you with the opportunity to discuss with our team any questions you may have about your child’s development and readiness for school.

Please note: Parents are required to attend all sessions with their child. Please bring a snack, drink, hat and comfortable footwear. Families must supply own food in compliance with Windermere's no nut policy.

(After the Healthy Women Healthy Relationships course) I am on the lookout now - next time I am in a relationship, I will be able to recognise the signs of domestic violence and I won’t let myself get stuck in that sort of position again.
