IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COVID-19 AND OUR SERVICES

Windermere is still open

Taking care of our emotional and physical wellbeing is so important during these challenging times so we want to ensure you are still able to receive the services you need from us.

We are still open and providing services, but are now doing this in ways which avoid physical, face to face appointments. Instead we are providing services in a way which suits your personal situation, through phone or online platforms.

We are committed to continuing to deliver services to you and your family in the best capacity that we can and we emphasise that the health and safety of you, your family and our staff remain our highest priority.

Bushfire relief payments

Currently Windermere is distributing $25,000 relief payments to over 400 Victorian households whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged by this summer's bushfires, on behalf of the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. You can read more about this here.

Other Windermere services

We have modified some of our other services so we can meet current government regulations and do our utmost to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We advise that:

Many of our services, including our Victims Assistance Program (VAP), Bushfire Recovery Support, Family Services, Homelessness Support Services, Counselling and our NDIS Support Coordination have stopped face to face appointments and interactions, and are now delivering services either via phone, Facetime, or other online platforms like Zoom.
All Early Intervention and Therapy Services home visits have ceased and are now being delivered by telehealth (virtually or by telephone).
Our NDIS Plan Management services continue to operate as per normal.
All of our group programs are temporarily suspended or being offered virtually.
We will continue to monitor the advice from the Australian Government and relevant authorities and advise of any changes to our service delivery.
Childcare services
- Our Early Learning Centre and kindergarten in Frankston and Family Day Care services remain open. We have strict hygiene controls in place at these sites.
- Under Stage 4 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne we are offering places to:
  - Permitted Workers
  - Vulnerable children.

Data plans and assistance

Due to Covid-19, many of us are accessing more data than we ever had before. In response to the huge increase in need, many telecommunications companies are offering assistance packages or free upgrades. To find out more check with your supplier.
