Strategic partnership brings ongoing allied health referrals

A new partnership between Windermere Child & Family Services and a therapy service provider is providing win-win outcomes.

A year ago Windermere approached wellness and therapy centre Your Body Hub with a proposal which stood to benefit all parties.

“We provide services in the early childhood space. But increasingly we’d been having inquiries from older children and adults on NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) plans who were seeking allied health and therapy services. We were wanting to be able to connect these people with the services they were desperately needing,” said Emmanuel Bour, NDIS Manager, Windermere.

The referral partnership between Your Body Hub and Windermere shows how successful strategic partnerships can be. Your Body Hub provides services through a sub-contract arrangement with NDIS registered Windermere. Currently Windermere refers NDIS consumers for Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy.

“It’s opened up a new avenue for us and our clients and broadened our opportunities for providing services under the NDIS,” says Lauren, Exercise Physiologist with Your Body Hub.

Your Body Hub is in Officer, in Melbourne’s outer south eastern suburbs. The centre offers a broad range of services and treatments.

The partnership formed after staff from Your Body Hub attended a Windermere information session to learn more about allied health and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

“All our services are customised to suit an individual’s needs” says Lauren. We cater to a broad range of consumers with many conditions including chronic disease, injury recovery, disability and people just wanting to improve their health, fitness & overall quality of life.”

“Windermere have been so easy to work with and clearly so are our clients. We have referrals from the relationship who are now long term clients.” she says.

Following on from the success of the partnership, Windermere is now looking to develop more referral relationships with other qualified allied health practitioners who provide services to adults.
