Meet Deepti, Finance Officer in our NDIS Services Team at Windermere

How would you describe your role?

I work within our support coordination, plan management and early childhood early intervention therapy services teams. I provide support to ensure our services run smoothly. In particular I provide support around invoicing. My role involves processing invoices on a weekly basis for Support Coordination, Early Childhood Intervention Therapy Services  and sub contractor services. I also answer invoice queries from our families with NDIS plans. This includes families who self manage their NDIS plans as well as those who are agency managed or use plan management services.

What is your background?

I have a financial background. I first came into contact with Windermere as a volunteer nearly a decade ago. Over two years I volunteered one to two days a week assisting within the finance team and also on the administration for a community service project. My experience with Windermere really made me realise that I wanted to work in an area where I felt like I was contributing to my community and doing something positive. Later I was offered a permanent role  and I  have been enjoying working here ever since.

What do you enjoy about Windermere?

I enjoy supporting families and the Windermere team. It’s always satisfying when I can help people find the answers to their questions or challenges.  I also love the diversity in my role.

Any tips for people who are new to the NDIS?

The NDIS can be very challenging and complex. Please ask if you have any questions, as you might be surprised what our experienced team member will help you with.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love cooking and Bollywood dancing. music.
