Our physiotherapists work with you and your child to help them with their gross motor and physical or movement skills.

We provide service to children and youth aged 0 – 12 years who may be demonstrating delays or difficulties with their development including gross and fine motor skills.

We deliver evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments, report writing, funding applications and parent training to increase your child’s physical skills and confidence. We provide support to meet your goals in a fun and practical way that is easy to build in to your everyday routines.

We can help your child with:

  • Early movement skills – supporting your child to learn to roll, sit, stand and walk. You may find this useful if they are appear delayed in their development milestones.
  • Balance and co-ordination - helping your child to run, jump, climb and play. You may find this useful if your child tends to trip over a lot or is a little clumsy.
  • Playground skills – activities like throwing and catching, riding a bike, climbing and following rules so they can join in play with other children during informal games and organised sports.

We also offer specialist support for children with more complex physical difficulties, including:

  • Postural management and physical development - providing strategies and ongoing advice that you can incorporate in your family’s day to improve your child’s physical health and function.

We have physiotherapists who are experienced in prescribing assistive technology and specialised equipment. We can conduct equipment trials and funding applications for items such as standing and walking frames and strollers/wheelchairs.

Our physiotherapists are based in the Southern Victoria region. We have offices at Berwick, Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Pakenham. We can also work with you and your child at your home, school or pre-school.

** Important note regarding this service **

Due to COVID-19, this service is currently only available through telehealth. Sessions are being delivered through digital platforms such as Zoom and Facetime. We are also offering phone sessions if you cannot access video-based applications.

To help you access services via telehealth, the NDIS is allowing you to purchase assistive technology, equipment and smart devices (such as iPads) using your NDIS funding. Alternatively we will develop resources that will be sent to your family so you can continue to support your child in their development during this time. You can find out more about this here.
