When will the NDIS be in your area?

The NDIS has already commenced rolling out across Australia. In Victoria, the trial began in Barwon and will extend across Victoria over the coming months and years. A person may meet the access requirements to become a participant of the NDIS up to 6 months prior to this date the available date.

Inner Eastern Melbourne

Available from 1 November 2017.

The Inner East Melbourne area covers the local government areas of:

  • Boroondara
  • Manningham
  • Monash
  • Whitehorse

Outer Eastern Melbourne

Available from 1 November 2017.

The Outer East Melbourne area covers the local government areas of:

  • Knox
  • Maroondah
  • Yarra Ranges

Inner Gippsland

Available from 1 October 2017.

The Inner Gippsland area covers the local government areas of:

  • Baw Baw
  • Latrobe
  • Bass Coast
  • South Gippsland

Bayside & Peninsula

Available from 1 April 2018.

The Bayside & Peninsula area covers the local government areas of:

  • Bayside
  • Frankston
  • Glen Eira
  • Kingston
  • Mornington Peninsula
  • Port Phillip
  • Stonnington

Southern Melbourne

Available from 1 September 2018.

The Southern Melbourne area covers the local government areas of:

  • Cardinia
  • Casey
  • Greater Dandenong

Outer Gippsland

Available from 1 January 2019.

The Outer Gippsland area covers the local government areas of

  • East Gippsland
  • Wellington
